Insulating
glass

The main functions of a window are to protect the building and its occupants from the influence of external factors (too low or high temperatures, noise, etc.) and to ensure natural lighting. Therefore, one of the most important elements in the equation of the quality of a window is the glass.
The thermal and sound insulation properties of windows are largely influenced by the quality of the insulating glass. It is of great importance to choose the right glazing considering that the glass represents 80% of the surface of a window. Thus, our technical and sales advisors will always offer you the optimal solution.

Winter comfort

Thermally insulated glazing blocks the heat already existing in the room, but at the same time allows natural light and heat from the sun to penetrate through the glass, thus warming the room in the cold season.

Energy saving

Thanks to the airtight glazing system, heat is kept inside during the cold season and solar radiation is reflected during the summer. Thus, heating and air conditioning costs are significantly reduced.

Summer comfort

Glazing reflects 2/3 of the solar radiation, but at the same time allows light to penetrate the interior. A comfortable temperature is maintained, without compromising on natural lighting.

Transparency

Natural lighting is one of the conditions for comfort. We use glass with a high degree of transparency, for light transmission and reduced costs of artificial lighting.

Safety

Glass lamination is an effective method of accident protection. In the event of glass breakage, the shards remain attached to the plastic film (PVB) sandwiched between the glass panels.

Security

To protect property and people inside, we recommend laminated security glass, which involves two plastic films (PVB) sandwiched between two glass panels.

Acoustic comfort

It blocks out disturbing noise from outside and transforms your home into a calm space to live in. Acoustic glazing contains a special plastic film that prevents sound from spreading from one panel of glass to another.

Float (standard):

Clear glass with a neutral appearance, suitable for multiple uses, which excels in transparency and superior light transmission. It is the base glass used for the manufacture of most other processed products: low-emissivity glass, solar control glass, laminated glass, sandblasted glass, ornament, etc.

Low -E:

Coated glass for glazing with increased thermal insulation. It represents the range of low-emissivity coated glass. These products are made of clear glass on which fine, transparent layers of metallic compounds are deposited. The reduced emissivity conferred by these coatings reflects infrared radiation, specific to the heat coming from heating. In the cold season, this function considerably reduces radiant heat losses through the glaze.

Solar control:

Coated glass for glazing with increased thermal insulation, solar protection and transparency. It is a coated glass with double property: low emissivity ( reflects long-wave infrared radiation) and solar control ( reflects a large part of solar energy). This is a type of clear glass on which a thin transparent layer composed of material of metallic origin is deposited by the vacuum cathodic sputtering process.

Laminated:

Laminated safety and security glass. Laminated glass consists of two or more sheets of glass assembled using one or more polyvinyl butyral (PVB) films. Depending on the number of PVB films, there is laminated glass that provides the functions of:

  • safety: having a single PVB film with a thickness of 0.38 mm.
  • security: having two or more PVB films, each with a thickness of 0.38 mm. By varying the number and / or thickness of each component, laminated glass with different levels of security is obtained .
  • acoustic comfort: glass with acoustic and security functions composed of two or more sheets of glass assembled using one or more acoustic PVB films. It considerably attenuates external noise inside the home exposed to noise in polluted areas.

Decorative (ornament):

Glass that has a decorative appearance. It is mainly used for interior and exterior design, in a variety of patterns and sizes customized by sandblasting or printing.

DuraTherm

DuraTherm is the thermal spacer (Warm Edge) applied robotically, which secures the glass sheets so that the windows are high-performance, beautiful and long-lasting.

Winter comfort

Thermally insulated glazing blocks the heat already existing in the room, but at the same time allows natural light and heat from the sun to penetrate through the glass, thus warming the room in the cold season.

It is possible to install larger windows without losing heat from inside the house even when it is cold outside. Comfort in winter can be increased with triple glazing which offers much better performance than single glazing.

These windows are the perfect solution for any type of home, as they combine a high level of energy efficiency with total transparency and very good light transmission.

Advantages:
• Indoor heat in winter
• More comfort and well-being

How does it work?

Thermally insulated glazing blocks the heat already present in the room, but at the same time allows natural light and heat from the sun to penetrate through the glass, thus further warming the interior space.

Maintaining an optimal temperature during winter is probably one of the most important factors determining comfort.

This can be improved by also taking into account the geographical positioning of the home, as well as the orientation and size of the windows.

Standard thermal insulation
Specific to double glazing that has a heat transfer coefficient between 1.3 and 1.0 (W/m 2 k)

Advanced thermal insulation
Specific to triple glazing that has a heat transfer coefficient between 0.7 and 0.5 (W/m 2 k)

Energy saving

Thanks to the airtight glazing system, heat is kept inside during the cold season and solar radiation is reflected during the summer. Thus, heating and air conditioning costs are significantly reduced.

High-performance glazing can substantially improve energy consumption and help reduce expenses by over 30%, compared to simple glazing.

Advantages:
• Optimization and reduction of energy consumption
• Improving energy efficiency

How does it work?

The airtight glazing system keeps heat inside while allowing natural sunlight to warm the interior of the house in winter. Thanks to high-performance glazing, less heating is needed inside. Triple glazing offers the best solution for reducing bill costs.

This solution can be improved if both the geographical position of a house and the orientation and size of the windows are taken into account.

Standard energy savings
Specifically for double glazing, cost reduction by over 30%.

Advanced energy savings
Specific to triple glazing, cost reduction of over 40%.

Summer comfort

Glazing reflects 2/3 of the solar radiation, but at the same time allows light to penetrate the interior. A comfortable temperature is maintained, without compromising on natural lighting.

Solar heat gain in the summer is reduced by high-performance glazing, so that homes do not overheat and do not require excessive air conditioning. Summer comfort is defined as the number of hours during which the indoor temperature is more comfortable than the outdoor temperature.

Advantages:
Comfortable interior
Increased sun protection
Energy consumption optimization

How does it work?

Glazing reflects approximately 2/3 of the solar heat, but at the same time allows sunlight to penetrate through the glass so that the interior of the house is naturally lit. Summer comfort can also be improved if the geographical positioning of the home, as well as the size and orientation of the windows, are taken into account.

Standard solar control
Specific to glazing with a solar factor (g) between 0.42 and 0.36.

Advanced solar control
Specific to glazing with a solar factor (g) ≤ 0.35.

Transparency

Natural lighting is one of the conditions for comfort. We use glass with a high degree of transparency, for light transmission and reduced costs of artificial lighting.

Larger windows allow for natural sunlight and an open feel, while using less artificial light during the day. Natural light is an essential part of human well-being. As a transparent environment, glass allows natural light to enter homes and provides openness to the outdoors.

Advantages:
• Reducing the use of artificial light
• A positive impact on health
• Improves sleep

How does it work?
The high transparency of the glass as well as the size of the window allow for better illumination of the interior space. The geographical positioning of the home, as well as the size and orientation of the windows, must also be taken into account. In this way, daytime comfort will be considerably improved.

Transparency
Specific to glazing with a light transmission ≥ 64%.
