Energy performance:

thermal transmittance up to Uw = 0.83 W/(m²K)

The ADF Optim window has a thermal transmittance coefficient of up to Uw = 0.83 W/(m²K). This coefficient defines the level of heat transfer and therefore the thermal insulation performance of the window. It quantifies the overall heat loss of the window. The lower the Uw value, the better the insulation and, consequently, the higher the performance of the window.

Acoustic comfort:

sound insulation up to 46 dB

The ADF Optim window provides sound insulation of up to 46 dB. The acoustic insulation level of a window is essential for reducing outside noise and creating a quiet, comfortable indoor environment. This feature is measured in decibels (dB), with higher values indicating superior sound insulation. High-performance acoustic windows are particularly important in urban areas or near major noise sources such as busy roads, railways, or airports.

Security:

burglary protection up to RC 2

The ADF Optim window offers burglary protection up to RC 2. This classification refers to the window’s ability to withstand forced entry attempts and is defined according to European standards. An RC 2-rated window must resist burglary attempts by an opportunistic intruder using simple tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, or wedges for at least 3 minutes. The window features multiple anti-burglary locking points which, together with their distribution along the frame, provide enhanced resistance against forced entry.

Triple or double insulating glazing

with DuraTherm warm spacer

The glazing unit of the ADF Optim window can be 48 mm (triple glazing) or 28 mm (double glazing). Since glass represents about 80% of a window’s surface, the thermal and acoustic insulation properties largely depend on the glazing quality. Triple glazing is made of three panes of glass forming hermetically sealed chambers filled with inert gas (argon), joined by a spacer bar. The spacer seals the unit and prevents heat transfer between interior and exterior. Therefore, it is essential that the spacer material has very low thermal conductivity. ADF windows come standard with the DuraTherm “warm” spacer.

3 sealing gaskets.

Enhanced airtightness!

Sealing gaskets prevent air and water vapor from passing through the spaces between sash and frame. They help reduce heat loss through the windows, thus improving the home’s energy efficiency (preventing unwanted thermal transfer, keeping warmth inside during winter and coolness during summer). The ADF Optim window is designed with 3 sealing gaskets for superior thermal insulation.

72 mm.

Large profile depth.

The 72 mm profile depth of the ADF Optim window represents the distance from the interior face to the exterior face of the frame. Also referred to as the window chassis, the profile depth is a visible element that directly impacts the energy efficiency of the window. A larger profile depth allows for the installation of thicker glazing units, which further improve the window’s thermal performance.

1.5 mm reinforcement.

Standard galvanized steel stiffening.

Reinforcement involves inserting steel profiles into the PVC profiles to stabilize them, ensuring superior strength and durability. The reinforcement consists of a specially shaped galvanized steel profile inserted into the reinforcement chamber and secured with self-tapping screws. For the ADF Optim window, we use 1.5 mm reinforcement in the frame and 1.5 / 2 / 2.5 mm in the sash.

Anti-burglary hardware,

siguranță și anduranță.

The hardware is the complete system of components mounted on the sash and frame that allows the window to be opened and closed. Hardware quality strongly influences the reliability of the windows and protects against break-ins. The ADF Optim window is equipped as standard with anti-burglary hardware (multiple locking points that firmly secure the window to the frame), easy-to-operate handles, safety systems against incorrect use, and special functions that allow efficient and controlled room ventilation without compromising security.
